554.6772 + 295.935 – 163.646 + 655.0955 = 1342

To meet her basic needs,  this woman will need 1,342 a day.

When it comes to weight loss, it’s all about balance. Calculating the correct number of calories per day needed for weight loss is a must

 

Here are the three possible cases:

Energy consumption equals energy requirements: weight remains stable

Energy consumption is lower than energy requirements: there is weight loss

Energy consumption is higher than energy requirements: there is weight gain

For weight loss, it is necessary to cause an energy deficit of   up to 10 to 15% of     the total energy required. Energy deficits should not be too high   for the risk of undernutrition.
